Louis “Teen” Bernard Lemoine, 85, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 2, 2018, in Port Arthur, Texas.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at St. Henry Catholic Church in Bridge City, Texas. Officiating will be Father Steve Leger. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary held at 6:00p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Plaucheville, Louisiana, on August 16, 1932, he was the son of Clifton J. Lemoine, Sr. and Bernadette St. Romain Lemoine. Louis proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked as an officer for the Orange Police Department before being self employed as a barber and many other business adventures. Louis enjoyed spending time gardening, loved watermelon, and cooking for his family. He was a wonderful man who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mildred Gauther Lemoine; parents, Clifton and Bernadette Lemoine; brothers, Ernest, Gilroy, C.J., Russell, and Elliot Lemoine; and his sisters, Rita Lemoine, Sadie Cox, and Yvonne Lemoine.

Louis is survived by his children, Jody Lemoine and wife Wendie, of Bridge City, Jada Smith and husband David, of Buna, Jana Lemoine, of Bridge City, Jude Lemoine and wife Lisa, of Bridge City, and June Badon and husband Ricky, of Liberty Hill; grandchildren, Jessica Lemoine and wife Erin, Jordan Lemoine, Joshua Lemoine and wife Mallory, Jacob Lemoine, Zachary Badon, Kendall Badon, Cooper Badon, Mary Smith, and Laura Jones and husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Julia Lemoine, Rhett Lemoine, Mason Lemoine, Jordan Jones, and Avery Jones; and his sister, Lee Anna Briley, of Opelousas, LA.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Lemoine, Joshua Lemoine, Jacob Lemoine, Zachary Badon, Kendall Badon, and Cooper Badon.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Coastal Caregivers at Griffing Oaks in Port Arthur, Texas for the care and love they gave their father for the past three years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his honor.
