Larry Gene Martin

Larry Gene Martin, 67, of Orange, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2020, at his home.
Born in Silsbee, Texas, on September 13, 1952, he was the son of Everett Martin and Dorothy (Welch) Martin. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He then went on to work as a planner for the MeadWestvaco paper mill. Larry was a faithful member of the First Church of Nazarene in Orange. He loved spending time outdoors and found joy in coaching baseball and playing disc golf. He took great pride in designing and building the disc golf course at his church that is still enjoyed by many members of the community. Larry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who adored his family. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Dorothy Martin; his stepdaughter, Natalie Lingo; and his brother, Chuck Martin.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Crumpler) Martin of Orange; his sons, Brent Martin of Dallas and Jacob Martin and wife Harley of Malibu, California; his grandchildren, Skyler Menard, Kayla Lingo, and Zoe Lingo; his grandchild on the way, Margot Abigayle Martin who is expected to make her debut in August; and his siblings, James Martin and wife Margaret of St. Louis, Missouri and Ann Garza and husband Hector of Lumberton.
A private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
