Kenneth "Kenny" Lee McPherson

Kenny Lee McPherson, 60, of West Orange, passed away on July 11, 2020, at home.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, at Claybar Funeral Home, in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas on October 23, 1959, he was the son of Mac McPherson and Betty (Fontenot) McPherson. Kenny owned McPherson painting and was always tinkering with something. He was a simple man but enjoyed all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, mudding, and going on lake trips with his family and friends. Kenny had the biggest heart, hence why he rescued his beloved dog Sassy. He was a jokester and his infectious laugh kept everyone going. Tara, his daughter was his number one priority and he was always there supporting her in whatever life through in her direction. Kenny was a family man and adored them with his whole heart. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 22 years, Darlene McPherson; granddaughter, Remi Annette; parents, Mac and Betty McPherson; and mother in law, Billie Tucker.

He is survived by his daughter, Tara McPherson and boyfriend Bryant Dunmire of Orange; father in law, Francis Tucker; grandchild, Carter Pyle; nephews, Derrick and Brandon Tomplait of Mauriceville and Stephen Dressel of Lumberton; great niece, Macie Myers; rescue fur baby, Sassy; siblings, Ronald and wife Kathleen McPherson of Bridge City, David and wife Michelle McPherson of Little Cypress, Katherine and husband Red Dressel of Beaumont; sister in law, Tammy Tomplait and husband Todd of Mauriceville.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
