Kellye Ellis, 57, of Mauriceville, passed away on September 23, 2021, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Brother John Fortenberry of Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville, Texas. Burial will follow at Ida Wilson Cemetery in Little Cypress, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 30, 1964, she was the daughter of William Gerald Haney and Shirley Jean (Gray) Haney. Kellye was a longtime resident of Deweyville, Texas. Her favorite pastime even after leaving was fishing on the Sabin River and all over the local area. Kellye always had a sense of adventure and loved to travel to the mountains of Montana. She loved watching the Cooking Network to find new recipes to try, and getting to cook and entertain family and friends. Kellye absolutely adored her family and her beloved dog Remi, and she never failed to spoil her grandchildren that she loved with her whole heart. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She will be deeply missed by all of her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Gerald Haney; grandparents, Raymond Haney and Louise and Chuck Porter, and Jimmy and Verdie Lee Gray.

She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Brian Ellis; children, Chris Ellis of Mauriceville, TX, Courtney Empson and husband Matt of Deweyville, TX; grandchildren, Nickolas Ellis, Hayleigh Empson, Haiden Empson, and Adaleigh Haney; mother, Shirly Haney of Beaumont, TX; brother, Todd Haney and wife Ashley of San Antonio, TX; nieces and nephews, Jessica Haney, Garrett Haney, Nolan Haney, and Alyssa Haney; aunts, Judith White and husband Don, Pat Claiborne and husband Jerry, Pam Colburn and husband Joey, and Patricia Green; her cousin who was like a sister, Dina Carr; as well as many other close cousins, family, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jacob Burris, Mark Ellis, Joe Chapman, Michael Simmonds, Nolan Haney, and Chris Ellis. Honorary pallbearers are Garrett Haney, Mike Green, Matt Empson, Justin Hryhorchuk, Ray Deen, and Bill Miller .
