Kay Marie Thierheimer

December 16, 1967 — July 13, 2020

Kay Marie Thierheimer, age 52, of Cypress, Texas passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston Texas.

Kay was born on December 16, 1967 in Orange, Texas, to the late Terrance “Terry” and Frances Thierheimer. Kay was a 1986 graduate from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School. She attended Texas A&M in College Station. While always an Aggie at heart, she was on track to earn her Associates of Arts from Lone Star College. She was part of The Honors College at Lone Star College, and an inducted member of Phi Theta Kappa. Her ultimate academic dream was to earn a master’s in theology and to serve as a spiritual mentor and teacher.

Kay worked at Lone Star College CyFair for 9 years as a Staff Assistant, and the past 2 years as an Administration Assistant. She was part of the Professional Staff Association at Lone Star College.

Kay truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with family and friends, snacking, and enjoying her diet Dr. Pepper. Kay was musical talented; her favorite instruments were the dulcimer and harp. Kay enjoyed cross stitching and donated much of her work to support on campus theatre performances at LSC CyFair. While not studying or working, Kay was learning Spanish, planning trips, cruising, and planning her next tattoo. Kay enjoyed the time she spent with the Renaissance recreation group and camping at the Renaissance festival for many years.

Kay loved being a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Tomball Texas. While there she loved being part of the Jesus Calling book club, Catholic Daughters, Catholics Coming Home, and most recently the RCIA program.

Kay had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Her smile was contagious, she was a great sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was an excellent example of humility, grace, charity, and loveliness.

Preceded in death by her parents Terrance “Terry” and Frances Thierheimer.

She is survived by her brother, Chris Thierheimer and wife Bonnie of Bridge City, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
