John Brent Freeman, 72, of Bridge City, passed away on August 26, 2021, in Beaumont.
Born in Mexia, Texas, on January 7, 1949, he was the son of Earl Edward Freeman and Johnnie Lucille Sadler. Brent lived a well traveled life, filled with many adventures. As a Construction Supervisor he visited all parts of the world, including but not limited to, Egypt, Wales, France, Germany, Poland, Lybia, United Emerates, and various states in the United States. Brent adored his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He loved fishing, mostly in the Sabine Lake, woodworking and was a great chef. Brent will be deeply missed by all those he left an impact on in this life.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Edward Freeman; mother, Johnnie Lucille Sadler; and step-father, Ben Statham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Laurie Freeman; children, John Brent Freeman, II. of Jacksonville, Florida, Christopher David Freeman and wife Christina of Bridge City, Jonathan Edward Freeman and wife Chelsea of Sour Lake and Jana Leigh Bernard and husband Marcus of Orange; grandchildren, Rylee, Emily, Madyson, Kamryn, Brantley, Grant, and Connor; and siblings, Bruce Freeman and wife Laretta of Carthage and Brian Freeman and wife Patricia of Buffalo.
Arrangements are being held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
