Jerry Paul "J. P." Rosen, Jr.

Jerry Paul “J. P.” Rosen, Jr., 27, of Buna, Texas, passed away on October 1, 2020, in Bridge City, Texas.

Born in Beaumont, Texas, on December 22, 1992, he was the son of Dana (Smith) Christian and Jerry Rosen, Sr. J. P. graduated from Buna High School in 2011 and went on to work in the construction business. He was a country boy who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved working with his hands, being outdoors, and hanging out with his friends. J. P. especially enjoyed spending time at the lake, riding jet skis, and playing sports. He could always be found listening to music with a smile on his face. J. P. was an outgoing man who never met a stranger and could be described as a being a big teddy bear. Some of his favorite memories were learning to woodwork from his grandpa and spending time with his nieces and nephews. J. P. will always be remembered for being a wonderful son, brother, uncle, grandson, and friend, and was a confidant to many. He will be missed by all who had the joy of knowing and loving him.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Rosen; his stepsister, Ashley Anne Christian; his grandparents, Mary and Paul Rosen; and his uncle, Kurt Rosen.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother and stepfather, Dana and Alvin Christian; his father, Jerry Paul Rosen, Sr.; siblings, Bronson Christian and Katelyn Christian; grandparents, Billy and Diana Pollard of Buna; aunts and uncles, Gary and Ninette Pollard of Buna, Jerry and Debra Kibodeuax of Orange, Shawn and Martha Hodgkinson, Bobby and Jonnye Williamson of Port Arthur, John and Belinda Rosen of Orange, Homer and Brenda Lincecum of Orange, Mike and Terry Connally of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Paula Blackwell of Orange.

Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
