James "Jim" McDonnell

James “Jim” McDonnell, 74, of Groves, Texas passed away Monday, November 15, 2021, at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
He was born on September 23, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from PNG High School in 1966 and from Lamar University in 1990 with a degree in Criminal Justice.
He worked as a Probation Officer for Orange County for 19 years. He was the most amazing Dad, Paw Paw Jim, Uncle & Friend. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Gerry Holmes McDonnell, his parents, his in laws, his sister Pat, & his granddaughter Torrie.
He is survived by his daughter, Tanesha Robertson of Orange, TX. His Son, Jonathan McDonnell of Clarksville, TX. His Sister, Kathy Haislip & Husband Dave of The Woodlands, TX. His brother Andy McDonnell and wife Mary Ann of Seattle, WA. Grandchildren-Jeremy, Megan, Natilie, Chase, JP, & Paisley. Great-Grandchildren: Nova Ann & Genesis. A host of nieces, nephews & friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Orange First Church of Nazarene on MLK in Orange, Texas.
