Jackie Sue Mays

Jackie Sue Boullion Mays, 76, of Bridge City, passed away on September 26, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p. m., Friday, October 1, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Mose-Granger Cemetery on Gulf Road.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m., Friday, October 1, at Claybar Funeral Home in Brigde City.

Born in Orange, on March 17, 1945, Jackie was the eldest daughter of Dewey Boullion and Joy (Norwood) Boullion. Jackie was an alumi of Bridge City High School, who loved the simple pleasures in life. She was hardworking, owner and operator of K9 Kutters dog grooming in Bridge City for many years before having to step down due to health reasons. She enjoyed watching Nascar, and old westerns, not to mention her love and talent for sewing quilts. She was looking forward to the International Quilt Show in Houston this Fall. Jackie is now reunited with her loving husband of 43 years, Harold Mays, Jr., and will be deeply missed by those that held her close to their hearts.

Jackie was preceded in death by loving husband, Harold Mays, Jr.; parents, Dewey and Joy Boullion; mother and father-in-law, Dorothy and Harold Mays, Sr.; brother, Leon Boullion; as well as brother-in-laws, Burl Wayne Mays, Jesse Norris, and Frank Nezat.

She is survived by her children, Kim Roberts and husband Charlie of Bridge City, Bruce Mays and wife Stephanie of Hemphill; grandchildren, Trey Rhodes and wife Shea of Bridge City, Ian Putnam and wife Memphis of Orange, Britney Mays of Houston, Haleigh Mays of Lumberton, Shayna Theriot and husband Mike of Orange, Cody Roberts and wife Amber of Bridge City, and Ty Roberts; great grandchildren, Harper, Corbin, Reece, Xena, Steelye, Baelyn, Ryker; siblings, Brenda Nezat of Orange, Vickie Wylie of Austin, Shelia Morris of Galveston, Jan Klucik and husband Marty of Bridge City, Gail Norris of Orangefield, Stanley Boullion and wife Francis “Babe”; as well as in-laws, Sybil Hanten and husband Tom of Orange, Sandy Reeves and husband Ron of Buna.

Servings as pallbearers will be Trey Rhodes, Charlie Roberts, Marty Klucik, Tyler Wylie, Grant Wylie, and Troy Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Butch Therman and Kriston Burns.
