Glenda Rose Belcher
Glenda Rose Belcher, 77, of Orange, Texas, passed away on May 26,2023, at her home.
A Celebration of Glenda’s life will be held at a later date.
Born in Jasper, Texas on February 12, 1946, she was the daughter of William Harvey Bush and Annie Lee (Brooks) Bush. Glenda worked as a beautician for eighteen years and moved on to work for the Appraisal District where she retired from. She spent many Sundays cheering on her favorite NFL team the Dallas Cowboys. Glenda loved listening to music her favorite being Elvis, but with her household being full of drummers, she loved every note even more. She enjoyed gardening, her favorite flowers being gardenias and azaleas. She was an excellent cook and made each meal with love. Glenda doted on her children and husband all her life and loved each one of her grandchildren very much. She was a very caring women who supported her children in all their endeavors. Her loved ones will go on to cherish all of their memories of her and will miss her deeply.
She is preceded in death by her parents William Harvey Bush and Annie Lee (Brooks) Bush; her husband John “J.T” Belcher; and her siblings Grace Revia and James Bush.
She is survived by her son Craig Belcher and wife, Amanda of Orange and Todd Belcher of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Kyle Belcher, Gracie Belcher, Ben Guillory, McKenzie Guillory; great-grandchildren, Anna Jane Belcher, Jaci Lynn Belcher; and sister Etta Donner and Dennis of Mauriceville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to all that took the time to sit with mom and make her comfortable. The staff of Gentiva Hospice; Chris Jones, Paige Thibodeaux, and Sharon Walters. As well as many friends and family; Lynetta Massey, Etta Donner, Pat Sanderson, Melissa Peveto, Dana Hamilton, Rustin Thibodeaux, Jerri Burgess, Tanya Thibodeaux, Melissa Vige, Sharon Belcher, Robert Belcher, Amanda Belcher, Ben Guillory, McKenzie Guillory, and Juanita Trahan.
Cremation will be held under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
