Gary Lynn Lilley

December 2, 1984 — February 9, 2018

Gary Lynn Lilley, 33, of Bridge City, Texas, went to meet his savior on Friday, February 9, 2018.

Gary was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on December 2, 1984, and resided in Bridge City. There will be a memorial service celebrating his life at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Winfree Baptist Church in Orange at 19525 Hwy 62 Orange, TX 77630. Services will be officiated by Cody Hogden, of First Baptist Church of Orangefield.

Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Winfree Baptist Church.

Gary’s greatest joy in life was his children. He was a very loving Dad and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them, whether it was a day out in the boat fishing, coaching them in various sports, or just playing outside. He was very proud of Madi and Breyton and worked hard to provide for them. Coach Gary made a huge impact on the countless young athletes he coached in Little Dribblers and Little League and they loved having him as a coach. He was an avid fisherman and spent many hours just enjoying the beauty of being out on the water.

Gary loved his family and they loved him. He was a very hard worker from the time he was a child and was an athlete that always played with heart in football and basketball. He was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan from childhood. He was currently employed as a licensed HVAC technician at TWA Air Conditioning. Gary was a perfectionist in his work. Many times he used his career choice as well as his abilities to help those in need, especially the elderly, families with small children, his family and friends, as well as a local church.

Gary is survived by his daughter, Madison Leigh Lilley; son, Breyton Lee Lilley; mother of his children, Mandi Lilley, of Groves, TX; father, Lee Lilley and step-mother Mitzi, of Call, TX; mother, Cindy Paul Whitney and step-father Donny Whitney, of Buna, TX; sister, Kelley Presley and husband Bryan, of Bridge City, TX; brother, Malcom Martin; grandmother, Cora Lilley, of Orange, TX; uncles, Brian Paul, of Lumberton, TX, Brett Paul, of Mauriceville, TX, Cody Hogden and wife Ginger, of Bridge City, TX; cousins, Brooklyn Sampere, Haley Comeaux, Gage Paul, Trey Paul, Shelby Paul, Luke Paul, Noah Paul, Mason Paul, and Taylor Paul; nephew, Landon Presley; many great-aunts, great-uncles, and extended family and friends.

Those that proceeded his death were his grandparents, “Paw Paw Tex” Lilley, “Paw Paw Bill” Paul, and “Maw Maw Agnes” Paul.

Gary overcame more obstacles than most people ever dream of. He leaves a very proud family that loved him dearly, believed in him, and will greatly miss him.
