Eva Rose "Tip" Scarborough

Eva Rose “Tip” Scarborough, 89, of Orange, passed away on August 29, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, in Orange. Officiating will be Father Sinclair Oubre. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Abbeville, Louisiana, on February 6, 1930, she was the daughter of Antoine Michele Thibodeaux and Amy May (Meaux) Thibodeaux. Eva and her husband were the proud owners of Hoyt’s Grocery in Little Cypress. She was devoted to the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Eva enjoyed sewing and crocheting her “projects” as she called it. She also loved to pray for others and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Antoine and Amy Thibodeaux; and husband Hoyt Scarborough.

She is survived by her children, Robert Scarborough and wife Dora, Ricky Scarborough, Terri Scarborough, Randy Scarborough and wife Kelly, and step-daughter Lela Ann Scarborough; grandchildren, Dionicio “Tito” Buitron and wife Jaqueline, Christina Tillery and husband Brent, Rebecca Rice and husband Daniel, Alyx Scarborough, Christopher Jennings and wife Rebecca, Justin Jennings and wife Priscilla, Ashley White and husband Ryan, Aaron Scarborough and wife Roxy, Amber Scarborough, David Scarborough and wife Samantha, Jessica Hart and husband Chris, Alex Scarborough, Katherine Fuller and husband Connor, Dustin Scarborough and wife Kayla, Stephanie Williams and husband Mathew, Sara Whitten and husband Ryan, Stephen Scarborough and wife Allison, David Beard, Daniel Beard, and Michelle Ferguson; 25 great grandchildren: and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
