Doug Schwartz, Jr.

Doug Schwartz, Jr., 53, of Orange, Texas, passed away in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Cottage Grove, Minnesota, on July 22, 1965, he was the son of Doug Schwartz, Sr. and Annette Schwartz. Doug graduated from East St. John High School and went on the serve his country in the United States Army. After the Army, he attended Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, Texas and graduated with a degree in Instrumentation. Doug worked as an electrician for 13 loyal years with Jefferson Electric. He was a member of IBEW local 479, he cherished his work family as well as all his friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, watching sports and playing golf. Doug loved family gatherings, he adored his grandchildren and spending as much time as he could with them. He loved his family and we will cherish the time we had with him, he is forever in our hearts. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him and loved him.

Those left to cherish Doug’s memory include his parents, Doug and Annette Schwartz; his loving wife, Amanda Schwartz; children, Douglas Schwartz, III and partner Lindsey Arthur, of Mauriceville, Erica Faust and husband James, of Beaumont, and Jared Trosclair and wife Kristi, of Orange; grandchildren, Halynn and Cason Trosclair; and his brother, Craig Schwartz and partner LaDonna Schartz; sister,Laurie Fisher and husband, Bob; niece, Taylor; nephews, Thomas and Chris as well as 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew all of Silsbee.

Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Kelley Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
