Doris Janell Hryhorchuk

October 22, 1934 — June 14, 2021

Doris “Janell” Hryhorchuk, 86, of Beaumont, passed away on June 14, 2021, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 18, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor Jason Richards. Burial will follow at Deweyville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Born in Corsicana, Texas, on October 22, 1934, she was the daughter of P.H. Doughty and Lorena Sue (Sublette) Doughty. Janell was a faithful member at Community Church as well as a beloved teacher there. Teaching the children to read was her passion, and she genuinely loved them like her own. Janell enjoyed sewing and was a wonderful listener when someone needed her. She adored her family most of all and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janell left an impact on many lives and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Adolph Hryhorchuk; parents, P.H. and Lorena Doughty; and grandson, Tyler Joseph Hryhorchuk.

She is survived by her children, Phyllis Ford and husband Darrell of Montgomery, Cindy Skinner and husband Paul of Sour Lake, Susan Hryhorchuk and Johnny King of Mauriceville, and Kenneth Hryhorchuk and wife Karen also of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Dr. Amy Bumgardner, Ty Ford and wife Stacy, Billy Ford and wife Nicole, Michelle Skinner, Ryan Skinner and wife LaScott, Blake King and wife Shellie, Jacob Hryhorchuk and wife Chelsey; and great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Berkley, Boston, Micah, Shepherd, Brock, Mason, Emma, Ryker, Austin, and Knox.

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ty Ford, Billy Ford, Ryan Skinner, Blake King, and Jacob Hryhorchuk; as well as her son, Ken Hryhorchuk. Honorary pallbearer will be Tyler Hryhorchuk.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at Collier Park, Cyndi Conn, Lorraine Mansfield, Sheila Patterson, and all the hospice nurses who helped her family during this difficult time. Her family would also like to extend a special thank you to Jamie Farrin, the director at Collier Park, as well as thanks to Harbor Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
