Donna Jean McNeill

Donna Jean McNeill, 80, of Sour Lake, Texas, passed away on March 17, 2023, in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Akron, Ohio, on October 24, 1942, she was the daughter of Frank and Rose Marie Angelis. Donna was raised in Akron, Ohio before moving to Texas with her loving husband Bobby. She worked for Cardinal Health for 23 years. During retirement Donna enjoyed watching the wildlife at her home, taking care of her dogs and cat, visiting family back in Ohio and, talking daily with her sister on the phone. Donna loved life and was always happy. Donna showed love and kindness wherever she could and was the sweetest, kindest person you could have ever known. She was truly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.


She is preceded in death by her parents Frank Angelis and Rose Marie Angelis; her husband Bobby Gene McNeill; brother Thomas Angelis; and sister Patricia Finnerty.

She is survived by her children Robert Gene McNeill of Sour Lake, Texas and Anthony Gene McNeill of Akron, Ohio; sister Betty Zechman and husband Gary of Pedmont, Ohio; brother-in-law’s Michael D. McNeill and wife Mary, Donald McNeill, and wife Olga both of Georgia; Sister-in-law Linda Spencer and husband Eugean of Sour Lake, Texas; nephew Farrell Bucklew and wife Rosie of Sour Lake, Texas; niece Ashleigh Spencer; and friends Mary and Chris Cullather, Damon and Becky Breaux, and Curtis and Susie Bullock.
