Rev Dennis Wayne Stephenson

Dennis Wayne Stephenson, 75, of Beaumont, passed away on September 17, in Beaumont.

Dennis Stephenson heard the message of the Gospel and surrendered his life to God and received the Holy Ghost on May 2, 1976. Shortly thereafter, he heeded the call to become a preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His call to the ministry stretched over a 40-year time span. Preaching every week at many of the prisons in the Huntsville Texas area, and many churches in Texas and Louisiana. He was a member of The Apostolic Academy in Nederland, Texas, where he preached often. During his lifetime he received many miracles from God and many people were led to Christ because of his zeal for the Kingdom of God. He will be greatly missed by his family, church, and all the friends who knew him.

Born in DeRidder, Louisiana, on May 19, 1946, he was the son of James Browning Stephenson and Florence Melissa (Sterling) Stephenson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Florence; his two brothers, Reverend James Stephenson and Ruben Stephenson; his sister, Jonnie Ruth Taylor; and his wonderful wife Kathleen Stephenson whom he was married to for 44 years.

He is survived by his children, Bradley Stephenson and wife Carrie of Nashville, Tennessee, Kristin Armagh and husband Reverend Gary Armagh of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Kayli, Aaron, and Olivia; sisters-in-law, Margie Stephenson and Carolyn Stephenson; and many other family members and friends. His greatest desire is that his entire family be saved and join him in the Kingdom of God!!
