David Allen Harmon

David Allen Harmon, 71, of Orange, Texas, passed away on June 1, 2020, at his home in Orange.

Born in Orange Texas, on June 15, 1948, he was the son of Carlton Harmon and Opal (Williams) Harmon. David proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to work for his family’s business, Harmon Chevrolet, as the parts manager for 38 years before retiring. David took great pride in being a lifetime member of the VFW. He was an excellent fisherman who also loved barbequing, getting together with family, and having a good time. Above all else, David was a devoted family man. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton Harmon and Opal Harmon; his infant son, Christopher Harmon; and his brothers, Mike Logan and Chad Harmon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Deborah “Debby Jo” (Anderson) Harmon; his stepmother, Betty Harmon; his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Harmon Nichols and husband CJ; his stepdaughter, Misty Anderson; his granddaughters, Maggie and Georgia; and his siblings, Jimmy Harmon, Debora Harmon Lanciaux, Danny Holland and Bob Logan.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and a very special thank you to Howard and Cynthia Fisher, Tommy and Barbara Harmon, and Jared Marcantle for all of their help. They would also like to extend a very special thank you to Cindy Zerko.

Cremation is under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
