Christopher Shawn Rashall

Christopher Shawn Rashall, 44, of Orange, passed away on June 25, 2020, in Beaumont.
Born in Orange, Texas, on July 23, 1975, he was the son of Bobby Morris and Christine Rashall Rhodes. Growing up, Shawn served as mentor, teacher & supporter of his younger brother, Jesse. In spite of all of life’s storms, he was continuously there for his mother and brother. Shawn could be described in many ways – witty, protective, goofy, and full of life to those who knew him best. He enjoyed time spent fishing with his brother, nephew and close friends– teaching his nephew how to fish, reminiscent to the days he taught Jesse, a memory that will always be cherished. If it was broke, Shawn could fix it with the quick skill of a professional, a trait he inherited from his grandfather. He joyfully collected coins and vintage toys, a simple reminder that it didn’t take much to make him happy. Shawn was a very talented surveyor in his prime years, taking great pride in his work & often finishing the job it took a team to complete in a day, in mere hours. Although not often able to find the right words or the right actions to express, Shawn loved his son deeply. Shawn’s life was blessed to have the never-failing love and support of his grandmother Peggy, his great aunt Sylvia, and his uncle Marty. For a life lived with more than his fair share of ups and downs, Shawn’s could be best remembered for his great sense of humor that could capture an audience, his hands that could save anything broken, and his smile that could light up a room.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Morris and Christine Rashall; and his grandmother, Peggy Rashall.
He is survived by his son, Shawn Levi Rashall; brother, Jesse Rashall and wife Rikki of Orange; niece and nephew, Jayden Rashall, and Liam Rashall; grandfather, Willie Rashall; uncles, Richard Rashall, and Marty Rashall; and great aunt, Sylvia Mires; along with numerous loving friends.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Due to current state guidelines, masks will be required to attend the gathering.
