Christine Bukowsky

Christine Bukowsky was born October 14, 1938, in New Iberia, Louisiana; and unexpectedly passed away December 27, 2021, in Galveston, TX. Christine worked as an active nurse for 52 years and touched every single person she came across. She was a sister, a mother, a Nanny, and many other things to many people. She loved to be surrounded by her family, and the salty air of Crystal Beach. If you knew Christine, the place she felt most at home was at the beach. She loved to travel and go shopping with her children and to read as many books as she possibly could. She was very headstrong and would not back down from anything. She was the best mom, nurse, and the world’s best nanny who loved to spoil her grandkids as if they were her own.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Brady “JB” Bukowsky, her sister Patsy, as well as her parents, Louella and Chris Stansbury.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda (Dan) Sadler, Monica (Phil) Grace, Brady (Lisa) Bukowsky, Charlotte (David) Sadler, and Bridget Bukowsky. Her grandchildren Brooke (Christian) Johnson, Nichole Bishop, Nicholas Bishop, Amber Dixson, Andrew (Haylea) Meyers, Gage Grace, Laine Grace, Christopher Bukowsky, Dylan Dixson, Hanna Sadler, Bryce “JB” Bukowsky, Abby Sadler. Her great grandchildren Lillian, Benjamin, Peyton, Parker, Daykota, Keeli, Anlea, Easton and Rowan. Her brother Kenneth (Brenda) Stansbury, and sisters Becky Boudreaux and Audrey Standley. Also many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to the funeral service at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Funeral services for Christine will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Father Sinclair Oubre.

Following services the family will host a memorial gathering in KC Hall for all of Christine’s friends and family to attend.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brady Bukowsky, Christopher Bukowsky, Bryce “JB” Bukowsky, Andrew Meyers, Dylan Dixson, Tim Goff, David Sadler and Christian Johnson.

For the celebration of the wonderful life she lived, please come dressed in Mardi Gras or Beach attire because those are her most favorite things.
