Charlene Beverly Etgen

Charlene Beverly Etgen, 92, of Beaumont, passed away on June 5, 2020, in Beaumont.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 10, at Claybar Kelly Watkins Funeral Home, in Beaumont. Officiating will be Van Jordan. Burial will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont.

Visitation will be held prior to the service at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar Kelly Watkins Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Born in Elgin, Illinois on August 8, 1927, she was the daughter of Theron Plant and Miriam (Shoemaker) Plant. Charlene was a wonderful woman who volunteered at Baptist Beaumont Hospital for many years and was also a secretary at the Boy Scout office in Beaumont. You could always find her spending her spare time sewing and cross stitching. She loved square dancing and spending as much time as she could with her family especially her grandchildren. Charlene will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charlie Etgen; son, Guy Woodside; and parents, Theron and Miriam Plant.

She is survived by her children, Garry Russell Woodside and Thomas William Woodside; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and her beloved dog companion Jessie.
