Born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 16, 1991, she was the daughter of Philip Kevin Stutz and Kathleen Dee (Maloy) Stutz. Caitlyn worked as a hairdresser at Lookin’ Good Salon and A Cut Above Salon and Spa, and she loved all of her clients. She was the light of everyone’s lives!

Caitlyn was strong in her Catholic faith. She shared her faith with her daughter, Zelda, by praying the Our Father Prayer every night, before kissing her on the forehead and telling her “I love you so, so much.” Caitlyn always wanted to be a mother, and Zelda was her greatest joy in life. She was a wonderful wife to her husband, Rawson, and she loved him unconditionally. Family meant everything to Caitlyn. She was her daddy’s girl and her momma’s best friend. Her niece, Alex, was like a sister to her.

Through her two-and-a-half-year battle against Osteosarcoma, she remained brave and fierce. Caitlyn never showed her pain and kept a positive attitude, even during her times of struggle. She was a beautiful woman, both inside and out. Caitlyn’s journey was an inspiration to all. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Caitlyn is preceded in death by her brother, Joshua Philip Stutz; her maternal grandmother, Jo Nell Vaughan; her maternal grandfather, Donivan Maloy; and her paternal grandparents, Lamar and Jo Ann Stutz.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Rawson Wickersham of Bridge City; her daughter and light of her life, Zelda Cait Wickersham; her parents, Philip and Kathi Stutz of Mauriceville; her parents-in-law, Suzanne and Ron Rea of Hagerstown, Maryland and Nelson Wickersham of Orange; her brother-in-law, Brady Wickersham and wife Shelby; her niece, Alexandra Stutz of Mauriceville; her grandparents, Hazen Kenney and wife Connie of Bastrop; her aunts and uncles, Vickie and Alvin Edgerly of Orange, Jennifer and Mark Ellis of Nederland, Keith and Robbie Maloy of Mauriceville, Terry Maloy of Mauriceville, and Elizabeth Wickersham of The Hamptons, New York; as well as her lifelong friend, Lindsey Burns and numerous cousins.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Maloy, Aaron Ward, Kody Campbell, Brady Wickersham, Alvin Edgerly, and Danny Andrews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Southeast Texas Hospice for all of their loving care.
