Buddy Jones, 73, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2020, in Bridge City.
Born in Alvord, Texas, on November 13, 1946, he was the son of Wesley Jones and Jewel Forsythe Jones. Buddy proudly served his country in the United States Navy and later worked for Hightech Signs where he retired from. He was a faithful member of LaBelle Baptist Church and loved spending his spare time fishing, hunting, and being with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Jewel Jones.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife, Dianna Jones; son, Dustin Abernathy and wife Brandy, of Carthage; daughter, Dedra Abernathy Smith, of Mineral Wells; step-daughter, April Simon and wife Sherri, of Dickinson; step-son, Chris Simon, of Ohio; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
A memorial service for Buddy will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carthage, Texas, at a later date.
