Betty Jean DeVersa Troth
Betty Jean DeVersa Troth, 88, of Tomball, Texas, formerly of Beaumont, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Claybar Kelley Watkins in Beaumont. Burial will be held at a later date at the VA National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Born in Houston, Texas, on November 15, 1930, she was the daughter of Roy Lee Brooks and Nell Mary House. In 1971 she met her current husband, Don Troth, and resided in Beaumont for over forty years. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her friends and family. Betty was a wonderful mother and devoted her life to her 7 children, 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren who she loved dearly. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Brooks and Nell House; daughter, Brooksie Leah Griffin; step-son, David Troth; granddaughter, Jana; and her brother, Wendell Skipper House.
Those left to cherish Betty’s memory include her loving husband, Donald Raymond Troth; children, John Rodney DeVersa and wife Donna, Cheryl DeVersa Anger, Joseph DeVersa and wife Denise, Charles DeVersa, Mariana Vigil and husband David, and Ronald James DeVersa; step-daughter, Debbie Wilks and husband Roger; step-son, Dale Troth; son-in-law, Scott Griffin; grandchildren, Michelle Panneton and husband Mark, J.J. DeVersa and wife Aurora, Cheryl Renee Huebel and husband Kevin, Colby Douglas Anger and wife Petal, Lauren Jade Vigil and spouse Buddy Montalvo, Marisa Spera, Dylan DeVersa, and Alex Vigil; step-granddaughter, Amy Sloane and husband Scott; 10 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Butch House and wife Lela.
