Born in Jennings, LA, on December 7, 1943, she was the daughter of Dalton Primeaux and Ruby (LeGros) Primeaux. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. One word that would best describe her is mom; she never missed an opportunity to be the homeroom mom, she always made birthdays or celebrations special, and loved to make her daughters all their clothes. Betty could always be found working on her next project or even making cakes for someone’s wedding. She enjoyed quilting, reading a good book, watching her favorite soap operas, and snuggling with her beloved dog Sweetie. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton Primeaux and Ruby (LeGros) Primeaux.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Harold Duhon; sister, Judy Conner (Mike) of Lake Arthur, LA; brother, Larry Primeaux (Melba) of Opelousas, LA; daughters, Tina Garcia (Javier) of Bridge City, TX, Linda Sanchez of Bridge City, TX, and Bernie Hernandez (Louis) of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Ben Garcia (Cassandra), Lindsay Elliott (Ashton), Maggie Garcia, Kayla Sanchez (Rob Ballard), Laney Godley (Cory), and Kaci Hernandez; great grandchildren; Ava Capps, Hayze Ballard, Ruby Elliott, Warner Elliott, and Lillian Godley.
