Annie Lee Belanger

April 17, 1929 — December 19, 2020

Annie Lee Belanger, 91, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on December 19, 2020, in Austin, Texas.

A private graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont for the family.

Born in Pulaski, Tennessee, on April 17, 1929, she was the daughter of Robert Clinton and Ethel Mae (Durham) Carvell. Annie loved tending to her yard, including her beloved flower gardens, and she was known for growing beautiful roses and hibiscuses. She loved to fish anytime, anywhere. Annie also enjoyed going bowling and for many years she was an active league bowler where she developed many longstanding friendships through the sport. She loved to play video poker and she and her nieces burned up the road between Beaumont and Lake Charles for years. Annie was a fantastic cook and prided herself in keeping an immaculately clean and tidy home. Most importantly, her husband and her children were her pride, joy, and her life. Her grandson, Dustin hung the moon, was her best friend, and could do no wrong. Annie spent her life dedicated to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known to all as a feisty, loving soul, who’s mastery of the English language was beyond reproach; often creating words on the fly that precisely fit her immediate need. She never wanted to be a “botheration” to anyone. Her enormous presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ethel Carvell; her adoring husband, C.V. Belanger; and her daughter, Elizabeth Belanger.

She is survived by her son, C.V. Belanger, Jr. and wife Kay of Austin; grandson, Dustin Belanger; nieces, Mary Ethel Long and Jennie Lucille Sanders; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
