Alton David Clark, 79, of Orange, passed away on June 18, 2020, in Port Arthur.
Born in Oakdale, Louisiana, on March 20, 1941, he was the son of Warren Earl Clark and Oma (Greer) Clark. He loved attending church and serving his Lord at Eastgate Pentecostal Church in Vidor and United Pentecostal Church in Orange. Alton honorably served in the United States Air Force. He was a hardworking and honest man, working at Livingston Shipyard, later as an Operator at Firestone, a lawncare service in Orange and finally working for an auto dealership in Hammond, Louisiana. He never met a stranger, and welcomed all with open, loving arms. Alton enjoyed visiting with everyone and always offered a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on. He will be deeply missed by all those who came to know and love him.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Clark; and sisters, Hazel Ruth LeBlanc, Geraldine Smith, and Cleo Tomlin.
He is survived by his daughters, Tina Burks and husband Mark of Buna, and Tammy Duplichan and husband David of Welsh, Louisiana; grandchildren, Ashley Williams, and Aleisha Bornette; great-grandchildren, Connor Williams, Maddox Williams, Emersyn Bornette, and Drex Bornette; and sister, Jewel Johnson of Bedias.
