Annie Brinkman, 94, of Kirbyville, died Sunday, August 26, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2012, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Burial will follow at King Cemetery in Hartburg.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Born in Cravens, Louisiana on January 18, 1918, Mrs. Brinkman was one of 10 children born to Marion and Martha Ann Thompson James.
She was a former resident of Orange and Alabama. In 1980, she and her husband returned to Texas and made their home in Kirbyville.
She loved sewing, gardening, cooking and telling stories.
Mrs. Brinkman was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Lee Brinkman and her nine siblings.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Benjamin Sturgeon of Dayton; son, Ben Brinkman of Helena, Alabama; grandchildren, Teresa Terrell and her husband, Richard of Dallas, Greg Sturgeon and his wife, Wendi of Dayton, DeAnna Brinkman of Helena, Alabama; and great grandchildren, Bethany, Jesse Lee, Adrianne, Lauren, Benjamin and Madison Terrell and Halie Sturgeon.
Serving as pallbearers will be Benjamin Sturgeon, Ben Brinkman, Greg Sturgeon, Jesse Terrell, Benjamin Terrell and Richard Terrell.
