Wendell Worthen

August 7, 1959 — July 28, 2017

Wendell William Worthen, Jr also know to some as "Headshot" born August 7, 1959 was called home to see his Heavenly Father on July 28, 2017. Wendell is proceeded in death by his adoptive parents Walter “Blackie" and Lillie McCarver, biological parents Wendell Worthen Sr. and Billy Jones. He is survived by his children, Chris Worthen, and his wife DeAnna, Lindsey Boren, and her domestic partner Justin Wright, loving girlfriend Sophea Pek and her daughters Molica and Amara Tem; and brothers, Joe Worthen, Tyler Goodson, and John St. Hilaird. He is also survived by his favorite family members, his grandchildren, Jules Worthen, Landyn Boren, and Brooks Worthen. Wendell was a very loving man, he certainly helped anyone he could and was a friend to many. He was a great father and an even better grandfather! He enjoyed playing paintball, golf, and tennis, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, serving the Lord, playing with his grand babies, collecting sunglasses and anything Harley Davidson, watching Star Trek, joking around, and hanging out at SP Donuts with the love of his life. He was most recently a technical sales engineer at Ingersoll cutting tools. He was a proud member of the Cut-and-Shoot HOG and the Lost Boy's paintball team. He served as a deacon at Walden Community Church.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Pastor David Kenney of Walden Community Church in Montgomery, TX. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Orange.

Visitation will be precede the service, starting at 12:30 P.M.
