Nina Vincent Dilbert

September 13, 1931 — November 4, 2017

Nina Vincent Dilbert, 86, of Orange, passed away on November 4, 2017, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Sharron Sabom. Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will precede the service, starting at 2:00 p.m.

Born in Point, Texas, on September 13, 1931, she was the daughter of Douglas Millard Vincent and Loreta May (Tuttle) Vincent. Nina was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and loved being with her family. She was a woman of faith and very active in the church. She was a charitable woman and loved to help others, and because of her love of helping, she volunteered for the American Red Cross. She was a Daughter of the American Revolution, a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 60 years, and part of the Altar Guild at First United Methodist Church. Nina enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, and crafting. She was very talented with needlework and the artwork she created was exquisite. She was an avid collector of china and crystal, and she absolutely loved reading. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Meredith “Bo” Dilbert; and brothers, James Vincent, and Joe Vincent.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Butler of Frisco, TX, Suzanne Miller and husband, Toney, of Orange, TX, and Elizabeth Crabtree of Orange, TX; grandchildren, Samantha Peveto and husband, Jeremy, Candace LaSalle and husband, Randy, Christie Smith and husband, Tony Cammareri, Steven Crabtree and wife, Jessica, James Crabtree and wife, Shawna Boyer, Dillon Crabtree and wife, Dakota Fowler, and Eryn Butler; 18 great-grandchildren; and cousin, Ella Jean Chisum.

Serving as pallbearers will be Steven N. Crabtree, James Crabtree, Dillon Crabtree, Zackary Busby, Jeremy Peveto, and Randy LaSalle. Honorary pallbearers are Toney Miller, Forest Ames, Steven Crabtree, and Will Kuehne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans at 5516 Hwy 90 E, Lake Charles, LA 70615, or to St. Joseph’s Indian School, 1301 N. Maine Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325.
