Mary Ann Stanley

On May 10, 2018, we lost our beloved Mother, MawMaw 2, Maw Mary and also G maw. She passed away peacefully at home, as she wished, surrounded by her whole family.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Old Family Homeplace, 6300 Marshall Willey Road in Mauriceville. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Eaves Cemetery on Gist Road in Gist, Texas.

Mary Ann was born on January 20, 1931 in Good Hope, Missouri to Horace Johnson and Delpha Barnes Johnson. She married Bill Stanley on August 5, 1947 and was married for 62 years at his death in 2009. Our Mother worked very hard all her life at her husband’s side, in her home and gardens to provide for her family. She was a member of New Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Gist, Texas and loved her church Family with all her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents Horace and Delpha, her son David Levi, grandson Bacil Risinger, her brothers Jimmy Johnson, Edward Johnson, Donnie Johnson, her sisters Loretta Phillip, Wanda Hebert, Jovita Conway.

She is survived by her sons Pancho Stanley and wife Annie, Wade Stanley and wife Brenda, her daughters Joyce Dowdle, Joann Weible and husband Gene, Judy Clark and husband Greg, Janie Stanley and Joan Morse and sister Sue Green and husband Donnie .

Mary Ann's greatest joy was her 27 Grandchildren and 53 great Grandchildren and her dogs Scooter and Curly. Our Mom will be greatly missed by all of us.
