Frank Nezat Jr., 77, of Orange went home to be with his Heavenly Father on April 3, 2018.

Frank was a hero to many who knew him. He was a firefighter for the City of Orange for 27 years before he retired. Years prior he was an EMT and mortician at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. He honorably served his country in the US Army as a medic on the island of Okinawa. But to his loving family, he was "Daddy and Paw Paw". He loved his family more than anything else in this world. Family was everything to Frank. He doted over his loving wife, Brenda until he drew his last breath. They were happily married for 48 years and raised two children, Teddi and Chad. Frank also loved to cook and loved to put on a spread for all his family and friends. Frank never met a stranger and loved to have new friends sit at his table. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him and loved him.

Those left to cherish his life and memory are his wife Brenda, daughter Teddi Nezat Lampman and husband Roger, son Chad Nezat and wife Amanda of Aurora, Colorado, sister, Gloria Sanchez of Orange, grandson, Jason Bell and wife Daniela of New Braunfels, grandson, Jonathon Bell and wife Ashley of Lufkin, grandson, Taylor Piazza of Bridge City, sister-in-law, Jackie Mays of Fairmount, sister-in-law, Vickie Wylie of Orangefield, sister-in-law, Shelia Morris of Galveston, sister-in-law, Jan Klucik and husband Marty of Bridge City, sister-in-law, Gail Norris of Orange, brother-in-law, Stanley Boullion and wife Babe, of Bridge City, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a multitude of great friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank, Sr. and Linda Nezat.

We would like to thank Altus Hospice and the Medical Center Of Southeast Texas for their compassionate care of Frank.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Following the service, full military honors will be provided by the Southeast Texas Veterans Group.

Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 a.m.
