It is with great sadness that the family of Larue Richey announce her passing at the age of 94.

Larue Richey was born in Beaumont, Texas on July 25, 1923, to Eliza Louada and Zachary Cole. She was married to Dr. Don V. Richey for 69 years and served by his side as he pastored in numerous churches in the State of Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Zachary Taylor and Eliza Louada Cole; her siblings: Herbert Cole, Edna Gibson, Ruth Ellison, Georgia Shell, and Gordon Earl Cole; a grandson, James (Jimmy) Harlan; and her husband Dr. Don V. Richey.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Jeanie Brewer of Rusk, Texas, Don and Shirley Richey of Shelbyville, Texas, and Norma and Ray Wright of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren and spouses: Jeana and Bob Vermillion, Robert and Kristi Richey, Kristy and Michael Dearing, Ryan and Kristin Richey, Jamie and Michael Calkins, and Jason Wright; great grandchildren: Caleb, Canaan, Shiloh, and Bethany Vermillion; Zeke and Samuel Richey; Brandon Willis, Whitney Dearing, Aaron Miller, and Preston Dearing; Kalae, Raden, and Layla Richey; Alexis, Braden, and Camden Calkins; great-great grandchildren: Clara and Jolie Willis, Jarius and Justus Vermillion.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange, Texas. Final resting place will be Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange, Texas.

Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Wright, Michael Calkins, Robert Richey, Michael Dearing, and Brandon Willis. Honorary pallbearer is James Harlan.
