Why do we have funerals? According to Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Ph.D. of the Center for Loss and Life Transition, "For thousands of years, funerals have been a means of expressing our beliefs, thoughts and feelings about the death of someone we love. The funeral ceremony:

* provides a social support system for us and other friends and family members

Meaningful funeral ceremonies are rites of passage. They help us move from life before the death to life after the death. The funeral provides a safe place to affirm the worth of our relationship with the person who died and express our feelings of loss." 

Infant & Youth Services 

The death of an infant is often sudden and extremely traumatic to a young family. In order to alleviate any financial obligations for funeral expenses, the Claybar Funeral Home will provide at no charge the following services and funeral merchandise for an infant service: basic professional services, local removal and transportation to a local cemetery, a graveside service and a Cherub casket/vault combination. 

Youth and children's funeral services also present difficult and emotional funeral arrangements. The Claybar Funeral Home will discount all services from the General Price List by 20% in order to assist the family. Youth casket and outer enclosure price lists are available at the funeral home.

The Claybar family owns and operates two perpetual care cemeteries, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens and Orange Forest Lawn, in the Orange area. Both cemeteries offer numerous interment options including mausoleums, niches, family estates and memorial selections.
